AFA President awarded NEA Davenport Award Barbara Dayton, AFA President was recently awarded the James M. Davenport Memorial Award, 2010, for "outstanding leadership, dedicated advocacy, and untiring service on behalf of NEA's higher education members" at the NEA Higher Education Conference in San Jose, CA. The NEA's National Council for Higher Education selects one or two higher education leaders for this award each year.

AFA Office The AFA office located in room 2470 Des Plaines will be open Tuesdays during the Spring 2010 semester from 9:30 AM - 12:30. You may stop by or call the office at 847-635-2193. Spring Membership Meeting Our Spring membership meeting was a big success, 60 members came, the largest turnout ever.

Chronicle reporter Robin Wilson came to Oakton in September to interview administrators and full time faculty as well as adjuncts.
